Busy, busy girl

K is very busy lately rolling over, "chatting" with us a lot and just being a smiley, happy baby. We are enjoying every minute with her.

K's shirt says "Cat Operator in Training"

K has started exploring the world by putting everything into her mouth. This teething toy (Sophie the giraffe) is one of her favorites. She is getting better about holding onto it and actually getting it into her mouth.

Another favorite teething toy our John Deer corn on the cob. Thanks Uncle J and Aunt T!

And she's in motion...

We're in trouble now that she rolls over! Though once she rolls from her back to tummy, she tends to get stuck and gets annoyed.

Feet!

This week K discovered her feet. We were able to capture this on video which is quite entertaining. Makes us stop and enjoy all her little accomplishments even more.

Three Months Old!

K has been changing every day right before our eyes. For a few weeks now K has recognized dad's and my voice when we enter a room or talk to her. Her eyes light up and she gives us a great big smile. She is getting great at tummy time and her neck is so much stronger. As you can see from her three month pictures, she holds her head up on her own and is beginning to sit up. The bumbo chair is perfect practice to help her strenthen her neck!

Chatty Girl

K is much more vocal lately trying to talk with us. We were happy to have captured this video of her sweet little voice to share. (I can't seem to figure out how to flip the video so apologies you have to turn your head to watch it!)

Latest Developments

K has been changing literally every day with some very exciting developments! She has rolled over once for our nanny which means she also no longer wants to be swaddled as tightly when she sleeps. For some context, here's the way she used to like to sleep as a little burrito. I took this photo because her little hands sticking out the bottom made me giggle.

Here's our progression to gradually phasing out the swaddle. We're trying to keep the swaddle on her but leave her arms out at naptime. I haven't dared try this yet at night since she's doing well by sleeping about 7 hours at night!

Her neck is getting much stronger and she is starting to really enjoy the Baby Bjorn as you can see from this picture. She likes looking at the world and takes everything in.
