Sleepover fun!

We celebrated our fourth anniversary this week and went away to Lake Geneva for the weekend. K spent the night with cousin Lilly and had a fun sleepover. She hijacked Lilly's PB kids chair and made herself at home reading a book.

And here they're both jockeying for position in the chair. Little kids just love furniture their size! Thanks Trish for taking such cute pics. :) Love to see them hanging out together.

K is a very busy little lady these days walking everywhere (running and chasing Kallie too!). She has new words literally every day. Her latest are baby, help, up and "by" (butterfly - she has a mobile of butterflies hanging in her room).

Family time with all the Abbeys (and Dougans!)

In early August, the Dougans came to visit and we all headed up to the new lake house. We had beautiful weather and a great time swimming, tubing, grilling out, running through the sprinkler and making smores. Here's some pictures Melissa took. I haven't had time to get pics off our camera but will do shortly and post them too. K really learned how to walk on this trip (not wanting to be left behind her older cousins) so it was definitely memorable.

"Uh oh" and more words

K is starting to say more words every day. Her latest is "uh oh" especially when she hurls her milk sippy to the ground. Kallie thinks it is great since she gets lot of milk! I did prompt her on this one but right now it is cute. :) As I left for work today she said buh bye so more new things to say each and every day.

The format of this video is a bit different than our others since I took it on my phone. Still looks pretty good though!

We officially have a toddler

K has been taking one or two steps here and there but quickly comes to the ground to crawl. She's faster crawling and just didn't seem to trust herself walking yet. Well this past weekend with the entire Abbey family around she did it and got quite the applause! Here's the first walking captured on video.

Hi friends!

K has been saying "i" for awhile but has recently added the H sound to really sound like "hi". Plus she added the cute wave just this past weekend and is waving to her cousin in this video. Enjoy our smiley little girl saying hi!
