I LOVE my daddy!

K is very into touching people's faces and looking at things very closely. She is definitely taking in the world this way but it is quite funny to watch. D found out he had to be careful not to get his eye poked out!

Pile of Leaves

Had to take a photo op with the beautiful fall leaves we found after our trip to the zoo. Addison and K both seemed to have a fun time together!

Trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day in Chicago so we took advantage and took a trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo. K seemed to enjoy her first trip and was really fascinated by the sounds of the zoo.

Our favorite teething toy Sophie the Giraffe had her picture taken with the real giraffes!

K seemed mesmerized by these beautiful fish and just watched endlessly at them in front of her. Maybe she'll take after her dad with a love of fish!

Jump, jump in the Jumparoo!

K has really started enjoying her Jumparoo and gets quite the momentum going. It is really fun to watch!

Six months old

K is growing up so quickly. We just got back from her six month pediatrician appointment and she now weighs 16 pounds 10 ounces. And to think she was born at just 6 pounds 10 ounces. She has started eating rice cereal and applesauce, sits up on her own and laughs all the time. We heard "mama" a few times but not sure she knows what she's saying yet. She is no longer our little baby!

Aunt T this bow is for you!

I missed my dad while he was away hunting and boy did he come back furry!

Weeee on the swings!

We took advantage of the beautiful fall weather today and took a long walk to the lakefront. K got to try out a swing for the first time today and seemed to like it!

Visit to Grandpa and Nana's house

This past weekend we went to see Grandpa and Nana. K got to spend some time playing with them, show them her new trick of sitting up and even show off her cute ladybug Halloween costume.

K is all about touching people's faces lately and thought this picture was so cute of her touching Nana's face.

K was playing with Grandpa and must have been a bit tired after all that sitting up. She tipped back onto his leg and realized she wasn't quite sure who was sitting behind her!

We got one more wear out of the ladybug costume to show off to some of Grandpa and Nana's friends and for some photos!

Sitting up like a big girl!

Within the past week, K has begun to sit up on her own. Last week our nanny worked with her on it quite a bit. She sat up for 4 minutes on Tuesday and on Friday she sat up for 15 minutes! She seems to enjoy the new perspective and is very proud of herself when she sits up.
