Can you hear me now?

Nice night for a walk

The weather has been unseasonably warm and in typical Chicago fashion the temps dropped about 30 degrees in a few hours. It was still nice enough for a walk but we did have to bundle K up a bit. We set her on the sofa to wait for us and started taking pics. She started posting and looking at the camera almost as if she knew what she was doing!

And then our window closed and she was done waiting which means the hat must come off! Thanks Aunt Trish for the cute hate!! She does leave it on most of the time. :)

Eating myself tired

K has become quite the eater these days and is open to trying pretty much anything. She likes chicken, pork, steak, and turkey meatballs (thank you Trader Joe's) as well as pasta, bread, puffs, oatmeal and crackers. She eats vegetables only if we give them to her first since fruit seems to be her preference. She eats carrots, beans, lima beans, zucchini, spinach, corn, potatoes, sweet potates and I think that is it thus far. For fruit, she'll eat whatever you put in front of her - strawberries, pears, bananas, blueberries, blackberries, grapes, melon, etc. We've also tried some egg yolks, toast and grilled cheese. This kid loooves cheese!

This particular day she didn't take an afternoon nap (it was a nice day out and she was very wound up with the warm weather I think) and simply passed out at the dinner table in her high chair.

11 months old!

Happy 11 month day baby K!

Abbey family fun!

We spent the weekend in the suburbs for Easter and had a nice time with Grammy and Papi Abbey who recently returned from Arizona. She enjoyed cuddling on Papi Abbey's lap and of course touching his face.

They pulled out the leopard print chair that the Dougan cousins used a few years ago when they came to visit. K and Cousin L enjoyed them as well! It is a nice looking piece of furniture to have in the family room! K really enjoyed sitting in it!

We have a similar picture to this one with the Dougan cousins when they were similar in age to these two ladies!

Saturday was beautiful out so we put on K's sun hat and enjoyed the day.

K enjoyed sitting in the grass for the first time. She is also learning to explore her voice and screams a bit which she was doing in this picture! Better outside than in the house.

Easter celebration

We spent Easter in the suburbs with the Abbey's. The little ladies looked so beautiful and we wanted to take a few pics before church.

And the Abbey family's first Easter!

The cousins had an Easter egg hunt in the back yard. Cousin L brought K a few eggs and she thought they were fun and tasty! Surprisingly she left this flower headband on - she does not like things on her head including cute bows either. We're working on that one!

Since the headbands were going over well we had to try on the bunny ear one too!
