Today continued with another good day for E and the doctors are very happy with her progress. Her glucose solution levels were down to 4.2 mL/hour and they will continue to drop that as long as her blood sugar readings are above 60 which they have been. Her appetite is increasing as they decrease the amount of glucose she's receiving and she has surpassed her birth weight and is now 6 pounds 5.1 ounces (born at 6 pounds, 4 ounces). She is as cute as ever and had a nice, cuddly visit with her today.
We are so thankful to be so close to Children's as D shot over there this evening after dinner to visit and it takes about 15 minutes to get there. To think we had our house up for sale for 10 grueling months with such hopes of being out of the city in the suburbs and settled by the time E was born. As my mom always said, everything happens for a reason and we are thankful to be so close to the hospital instead of an hour away like we would have been if we moved.
Thanks for continuing to post, even with no news. We're thinking about you.
